Anderson's Maple Syrup, Inc. has been a family run business for over 80 years. Steve Anderson is the third generation
to carry on the family tradition. Steve's grandfather Paul Anderson started the business in the early 20's as a hobby to
go along with his dairy farming. When Norman Anderson, Steve's Father, was old enough to help he and Paul built their hobby
into a business. They started sales primarily in Maple Syrup and then realized they could also sell equipment to local
producers. This eventually led them to Leader Evaporator Company, one of the oldest U.S. evaporator manufacturers.
(Leader History: www.leaderevaporator.com/about.php)
Paul and Norman started selling equipment for Leader Evaporator Company around 1953. This served two purposes; 1). It gave eager producers a local place to purchase their supplies; 2). It provided Paul and Norman with a network of producers that they would later purchase finished maple syrup from. This network is still alive and growing. Anderson's Maple Syrup, Inc. now purchases bulk maple syrup from over 200 local producers and is always looking for new quality producers.
Steven Anderson has spent his whole life in the Maple Syrup business and is a good source for all your maple syrup needs and questions. For those questions that Steven may not be able to answer Norman is still around and in the shop helping almost every day. So if you have a need or just a question please feel free to call or stop in.
Leader Evaporator Company is still our primary supplier, but we now also sell items for Dominion and Grimm, GBM LLC, WES FAB, Hillside Plastics, Cruchon Jugs, and many other smaller companies.
